Obituary of Carson McCullough

Carson McCullough, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Friday, November 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.  Visitation will be Thursday, November 9th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Friday, November 10th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Bush’s Chapel Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mr. McCullough was born December 15, 1940 in Sumner County to the late Jake Blakemore McCullough and Evie McDougal McCullough.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Allen McCullough; son-in-law, Shannon Tucker; brother, Jack McCullough; and sisters, Nellie Brown and Mary Evelyn McCullough.  He is survived by wife of 64 years, Jane Woodard McCullough; daughters, Connie Gregory of Portland and Beth Tucker of Gallatin; brothers, Henry McCullough of Cunningham, TN and Everett McCullough (Carol) of Gallatin; sister, Dorothy McDole of Gallatin; grandchildren, Melissa McKnight (Chasey), Holly Gregory, Kayla Sprayberry (Cody), Chase Tucker, and Faith Tucker; and great grandchildren, Emily Gregory, Lilly Shearer, Jaxson McKnight, Ryman McKnight, Logan McKnight, and Mason Sprayberry.  Mr. McCullough worked for DuPont for several years and retired from Harbor Master after 20 years of service.  He was a life-long member and Deacon at Bush’s Chapel Church of Christ. Mr. McCullough enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, and U.T. Football.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
