Obituary of Charmaine Ocay Stiglet
Charmaine Ocay Stiglet passed away at the age of 47 on December 1, 2023, in Lebanon, TN.
Charmaine was born November 8, 1976, in Mati, Davao Oriental (Philippines) to Villamor V. Ocay, Sr and Esterlita S. Ocay. She was a devoted wife to David Charles Stiglet and a loving mother to Nathan Eavnicer Stiglet.
Charmaine is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, David, and her son, Nathan, three daughters, Elizabeth Gonzalez (Gabriel), Kathryn Stiglet, Mallory Stiglet, granddaughter, Olivia Gonzalez, her siblings, Eamon Flem Ocay (Mayann), Villamor Ocay, Jr., Nichele Ocay King, (Wayne), Eavnicer Ocay.
Charmaine and David had a love for camping with their son, Nathan, in the Smoky Mountains and Florida beaches for family trips. She obtained a Bachelor degree in Fashion Design from Lipscomb University in Nashville to fulfill a lifelong passion. She continued to pursue fashion design by creating her own business, Palangga. Inspiration for the business name came from her father’s nickname for her, meaning “Beloved”.
Charmaine was a brave, strong, selfless, and loving woman. She always had a smile on her face and had a contagious laugh. Charmaine never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcomed. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the chance to meet or know her. She will always be our angel in Heaven watching over us.
A viewing will take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm, at Sellers Funeral Home in Mount Juliet, TN. A Christian Mass will be held at a future date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to either Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Gallatin, TN, or St Stephen Catholic Community in Old Hickory, TN.
