Obituary of Betty Kerr King

On a clear December 11, 2023 morning, Betty Kerr King passed through to the great beyond to be with those whom have gone the way of all flesh. She departed six days prior to her ninetieth birthday surrounded by her husband Bill, brother Edmond and sisters, Reba, Helen, Kathy, and Alma. Betty was born in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Louie and Katherine Kerr.

Betty spent the better part of her career with National Life Insurance working in the computer room. She was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Her memory will be forever embedded in the hearts of those that knew her. A God fearing lady that loved her family, friends and church has now joined another congregation.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jackie Kerr and Prentice Kerr.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, William “Bill” King; brother, Louie Edmond Kerr; sisters, Reba (Paul) Sanders, Helen (Joe) Robbins, Kathy (Hal) Spears, and Alma Chilton.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 14^th at 12:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Hendersonville with Ken Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, December 13^th from 4:00-8:00 PM and Thursday, December 14^th from 9:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM.
