Obituary of Barbara Yvonne Klipa

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Yvonne Klipa, who passed away on December 27, 2023 at the age of 87.  Barbara was born in Landville, West Virginia and lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Milan Klipa; parents, Orville and Lillian Harrison; sisters, Lois Toth and Betty Vance; and her brother Glen Harrison. She is survived by her children, Pamela Klipa, Milan (Elizabeth) Klipa, Jr., and Ludena Klipa; sister, Joann (Bill) Combs; her brother, Dennis Harrison; grandchildren, AundraeOnna (James), Jason (Dawn), Tyler (Heather), Matthew (Anna), and Annie; great-grandchildren, Emily (David), Rachel (Cameron), Sydney, Garrett, Carter Jo, Georgia Pearl, and Jessie Anne; great-great-grandchildren, Chandler and Piper; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Barbara was a remarkable individual who always put others before herself. Her kind-hearted nature was evident in every aspect of her life, from her interactions with family and friends to her involvement in her community. One of the things that brought her immense joy was her unwavering devotion to her heavenly father, and she regularly attended her women's group to connect with like-minded individuals and strengthen her faith.

Barbara was a hardworking woman who had an unwavering commitment to her family. She was an excellent caretaker and always went above and beyond to ensure that her loved ones were happy and well cared for. In addition to her family responsibilities, Barbara had a passion for cooking and baking, and she loved to share her creations with her friends and family. One of Barbara's favorite pastimes was quilting! Her love for quilting was palpable, and it was evident in every stitch that she made. Despite her busy schedule, Barbara always found time to keep her home in impeccable condition. She loved to clean and do laundry, and she took great pride in ensuring that her home was always neat and tidy. Her dedication to her family and her many passions made her a true inspiration to all who knew her. In addition to all her other pursuits, Barbara was also a beautician for many years. She loved to make people feel their best and took great pride in helping others look and feel their best. Whether it was a simple haircut or a complete makeover, Barbara's clients always left her salon feeling confident and beautiful. Her passion for helping others was evident in everything she did, and her kindness and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. The Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 12pm until time of service at 1pm.
