Obituary of Shirley Ann Carter

Ms. Shirley Ann Carter, age 73, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023. Funeral services for Shirley Ann Carter are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1 PM from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Chad West officiating. Interment will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 10 AM until service time at 1 PM.

The Family respectfully request donations be made towards the funeral expenses.

Shirley was preceded in death by Parents, Jessie James Carter and Lallie Iva Cox Carter; Brother, Upton Carter; Sisters, Bessie Faye Roberts, Lassie Young, and Hassie Houshour.
