Obituary of Glenda Ann Britt

Beloved matriarch Glenda Ann Britt, age 79 of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Her earthly suffering was laid down, and she awakened to her glorious freedom in Heaven. Though Glenda may be released from our hands, she is sealed in our hearts forever and the family takes peace in knowing Glenda is rejoicing with her Savior and reunited with family, including the love of her life, Phillip Dale Britt, whom she married February 14th, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Glenda lived a wonderfully full life and her legacy lives on through her two daughters, Lori Britt Hassell and Robin Britt Sermonet.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Cora Lee Lambert, her brother Jerry Wayne Lambert, and her husband Phillip Dale Britt. Surviving additional family includes four siblings: Cletheline Emerich, Carlon Lambert, Curtis Lambert, and Danny Lambert and 9 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great niece. Four grandchildren: Mekenzi Harvel, Darci Davis, Mamie Hassell, and Jude Hassell. Five great-grandchildren Brooklyn Harvel, Lucy Harvel, Magnolia Harvel, and Penelope Harvel, and Jake Carriere. Also joining the family through marriage includes Stephen Sermonet (Robin), Michael Harvel (Mekenzi), and Tyler Davis (Darci), Ron and Judy Britt (brother and sister-in-law of Phillip Dale Britt).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12th at 3pm in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet with Brother Russ Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with family members serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be before the funeral from 1pm until the service starts at 3pm.
