Obituary of Shelton Clark Criddle
Mr. Shelton Clark Criddle, age 76 of Castalian Springs, TN passed away Thursday afternoon, January 11, 2024 at Quality Center for Rehab and Healing, Lebanon, TN.
Clark Criddle was born May 5, 1947 to his Parents, John Shelton and Audie Dee Hitchcock Criddle. He attended Elementary and High School in Houston, MS where he resided with his Parents. After High School he attended Itawamba Junior College where he participated in Baptist Student Union. While there he met the Love of his life Barbara Magers. They dated for two years and were married at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Mississippi on September 8, 1968.
In August of 1969 God called Clark to preach the Word of God. He pastored Churches in Mississippi, Michigan and Tennessee until he became disabled from Parkinson’s Disease. He was the founding Pastor of Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Castalian Springs, TN.
In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 Brothers, Joe Dallas Criddle and Jimmy Marion Criddle and 2 Sisters, Billie Wynn McNaughton and Sarah Ann Miller.
Clark is survived by: Wife, Barbara Magers Criddle; Beloved Adopted Daughter, Mary Lou Carter; Special Adopted Son, Ray Coker; Brother, John (Pam) Criddle; Sister, Sandra Criddle Morris; Adopted Grandchildren, Baylea Carter Coveney, Gavin Carter, Samantha Carter, Matthew Wayne Williams, Michael Dies, Jimmy, Evie, Harper and Mark Green and Katie Garner and many Brothers and Sisters in Christ from North to South.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church conducted by Bro. Jimmy Crabtree.
