Dean was an immense soul. I had the privilege to get to know him. We were both adverse to one another when we first met, for a while, but after years, he truly became a best friend. I will always cherish our conversations about the world, the cosmos, history, music. Even logic. His mind was beyond comprehension in its aptitude towards things I would’ve never thought about. He expanded my horizon, and I was will dearly miss our firelight chats, talking about everything and nothing. My heart goes out to his family. There’s people you don’t remember in two decades. Dean Allyn Smith is not one of them. As he would say “Love you good.” He is and always be endearing to me, and I will always appreciate him immensely.
