Obituary of Mary White

Mary White, age 83 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 10^th at 5:00 p.m.at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.  Visitation will be Saturday, February 10^th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 5:00 p.m.  There will be a private graveside service at a later date, with Derrick Cook, Andrew Leal, Martin Boze, Johnny Gulley, Ricky Hauskins, and Travis Collins serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. White was born October 31, 1940 in Macon County to the late Sidney Hauskins and Annie Deering Hauskins Brawner.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Herman D. White; step-father, Earl Brawner; brother, Donald Hauskins; and step-sister, Elizabeth Pedigo.  She is survived by daughters, Wynemia Cook (Anthony) of Bethpage and Tammy Crook (Ronnie) of Gallatin; sister, Selma Todd of Gallatin; step brothers, Billy Brawner of Lafayette and Bobby Brawner of Lafayette; step-sisters, Polly Holder of Lafayette and Shelby Wagoner of Lafayette; grandchildren, Derrick Cook (Heather) and Amanda Thaxton (Jean); great grandchildren, Gracie Cook, Grayson Cook, Kenzie Barnhill, Addy Barnhill, Andrew Leal, and Hannah Cook-Gregory; great-great grandchild, Fisher Douglas Leal; and special friends, Dora Cagle, Leona Rhodes, Linda Newbill, and her neighbor, Beth.  Mrs. White was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.   She retired from Sumner Regional Medical Center as a nurse, after many years of service.  Mary enjoyed her career as a nurse and loved being with her family.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
