Obituary of Rickey Rollin

Rickey Rollin passed away on February 26, 2024 at age 65. Rickey James Rollin was born in Detroit MI to Sondra Kay Street and James Luster Rollin. He played drums and bass in a band before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1976.  He served as a Specialist in the Army and guarded nuclear weapons in Europe. His enlistment ended in 1982. He met and married his match, Darsey Gillette and together they raised a family. Rickey continued to be a Harley riding musician throughout his life.

               Rickey is survived by his wife of 20 years, Darsey Rollin; daughters: Janine Rollin, Aquilla Rollin, and Belinda Hill; grandchildren: Keyan Clemmons, Austin Rollin, Connor Rollin, Jaxon Rollin, Annabella Hill, Brancyn Cobble, and Kaleb Cobble; great-grandchild: Keilani Clemmons; sisters: Cheryl Dillon, Belinda Sue (Loren) Dobe, Laurie Garrison, Michele Rollin; sister-in-law: Ora Mae Rollin; nieces and nephews: Kimberly Leftrick, Tracy Holcomb, Van Sneed, Kim McIntosh, Tony Barnes, Shannon DeLora,  Paul Rollin, and Giget Holcomb; and best friend of 30 years and fellow musician: Barry Jones. He is preceded in death by parents Sandra and James Rollin, and brothers David Rollin, Jerry Rollin, and Russell Rollin.
