Obituary of Forrest Creekmore
Forrest Creekmore, age 88 of Portland, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 20th at 4:00 p.m. at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20th from 10 a.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Adoration Hospice, 1210 Briarville Road, Bldg. D Suite A, Madison, TN 37115.
Mr. Creekmore was born May 20, 1935 in Franklin, Kentucky to the late James William Creekmore and Jessie Theo High Creekmore. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Mike Creekmore; and sister, Mary Apel. He is survived by wife, Marilyn Smith Creekmore of Portland; sons, Jimmy Creekmore (Wickie) of Hendersonville, and Bobby Creekmore of Portland; daughter, Paula Graham of White House; brother-in-law, Albert Apel of Alabama; daughter-in-law, Dawn Creekmore of Nashville; grandchildren, Eric Creekmore, Scott Creekmore, Brandon Creekmore (Amanda), Christian Hiam, Ashley Alley (James), Amy Cole (Charlie), Matt Clubbs, and Mayshalya Bilyeu; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Forrest loved the Lord and began his work in the ministry in 1950 as a song leader, he then started preaching in 1957 and continued throughout his life. In addition to his work in ministry, he worked in auto sales for 20 years, Avco for 18 years, and Byron’s BBQ for 3 years. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
