Obituary of Jimmy Davis Wix

Mr. Jimmy Davis Wix, age 69 of Portland, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Jimmy was born on April 20, 1955 in Portland, Tennessee to James Allen and Elanior Clending Wix.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James W. Wix, Homer Wix, and Billy Joe Wix; sisters, Charlotte Pitcock and Shirley Slack.

He is survived by his children, Amy Robey and Shaun Wix; grandchildren, Janos Sweat, Ahleena (Mason) Lybbert, Dawson Tyrese Smith, Brianna Wix, Jessica Ryan Wix, and Breyden Wix; brothers, Ricky (Michelle) Wix and Harlen Wix; sisters, Gertie Silva and Patricia Rippy.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 1^st at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bro. Walter Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow the service at Shrum Cemetery with Janos Sweat, David Patton, Corey West, Eric Troutt, Arion Graves and Mickey Short Jr. serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, April 30^th from 3:00-7:00 PM and Wednesday, May 1^st from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the funeral expenses.
