Obituary of Dorothy Louise Sircy

Dorothy Louise Sircy, age 100 of Gallatin, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 30th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Vertis Butler officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, April 29th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 30th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Station Camp Baptist Church, 100 Vantrease Road, Cottontown, TN  37048.

Mrs. Sircy was born November 24, 1923 in Reynoldsville, PA to the late Joseph Washington Shearon and Orpha Colwell Shearon.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Leon Graves Sircy; brothers, Joe Shearon and Leo Shearon; and sisters, Velma Wagner, Birdella Shields, and Janie Benkiser.  She is survived by daughter, Kathy Stewart (Jackie) of Gallatin; sons, Alan Sircy (Lucy) of Gallatin and Duane Sircy of Gallatin; grandchildren, Emily Leek (Geoff), Leigh Anne Sircy (David Prochaska), Bryson Stewart, and Lauren O’Ceallachain (Aengus); and great grandchildren, Taylor Stewart, Erin Stewart, Jackson Stewart, Nora Leek, and Lizzie Leek.  Mrs. Sircy worked for Eaton Corporation for many years.  She enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, and baking cookies.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
