Pat was a wonderful person. She was an excellent nurse and a brilliant lady. She will be missed by all of us who knew and loved her. But, we rejoice that she is no longer suffering and
has gone Home to be with her Lord. My deepest sympathy is extended to the family she loved so
dearly. In Christian love, Anne Tomlinson

The loss of Pat will be felt much farther than her beloved community of Wilson County. Pat taught us all so very much, such as professionalism, initiative and the like. She was an educator as well as a supervisor at the University Medical Center/McFarland Hospital campuses. I knew that whenever Pat Henkel was around, I could always get that special"Henkel" smile or wink. She will be missed by all who knew her. We know as Christians that she has gone on to a better place. There is a hurt being felt by her family, friends and coworkers that will eventually be filled in by all of the memories that they have of her. May we all keep her family, friends, and coworkers in our prayers.

Patsy was a wonderful, responsible, dedicated and upbeat person and friend. I always respected her. I'm sorry she has died too early in her life. I smiled when reading that classmates are honorary pallbearers at her funeral. My love to her family.

My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies go out to Ms. Henkel's family. I will always remember her as the official nurse for the Teen Queens softball team. Any time a player was hurt duirng a game, all eyes went to the stands to find Ms. Henkel for first aid. She offered not only medical advice, but also encouragement to our team over the many seasons we played. Thus, whenever I recall my cherished childhood moments, Ms. Henkel is ever present. May she rest in peace and may her family find comfort in the memories, love and wisdom bestowed upon them by such a wonderful woman.

I remember well when I was hired at McFarland Hosp. as a nurses aid. They put me on 2North which was the orthopeadic floor and Pat was the Head Nurse in charge of the floor. She was tough but she was also one of the best teachers I ever had. She loved to talk and teach to others. I believe she would of given the shirt off of her back for someone else. She helped me build a strong foundation for nursing and that I am forever grateful to her. I also will miss her little wink and her smile. My prayers go out to her family.
