I remember you fondly Jim, you could always be counted on to serve as a pallbearer at a funeral. My fondest memory was when Kay and I were little and we came over and you, your mom, and my mom went out and sweet Virginia acted like the fire drill at school ( we were playing like we were at school) anyway, we spent the night, and because y'all didn't have a lot of room, Virginia put us to bed, Kay with Lisa, and me with Randy. It is one of my most favorite memories. Love you honey!

As a child Jim was always up to something. He had a gift for seeing things for what they were and cutting thru the bs. When my mother (Christine Norman Hester) passed away, he gave my family $500 to purchase my mothers head stone, because he loved her. I will always remember his kindness and generosity. I pray he finds peace and comfort in the arms of his father.

I am praying for God's comfort over each of you during this difficult time. Jimmy was in the building of our church. He loved the Lord & his church dearly. May he find rest and peace in the arms of our Savior. He can now see as Jesus does and understands so clearly things he could not see while here on this earth. Worship him, Jimmy now that you see his marvelous face! You are loved and will be greatly missed.

Jimmy, you will be truly missed and we know you are in a much better place than we are. We won't be sad for, but happy that you get to dance with Jesus now. Tina, I can't imagine how you feel right now. Nothing that I can say will take away your hurt but know that we love you and are here for you whenever you need us. Your church family is next best thing to the "blood kind of family". Please let us know if you need anything, we love you. Eric & Kricket Alsup

Wow! I cant believe I am doing this. You were something else I must say! A father, a husband, a friend and a man after Gods heart. You are the reason I am at crossroads you know. You were trying to get Mike there but got me instead and how blessed I am! (now you can work on him from up there lol) People look up to you. I will never forget you and all the advice you had to give. It meant so much to me that you cared and wanted the best for me as you did for so many . Not to mention ALL the other things you have done for others. You had such a big heart. Your home was always open. And the turkey shoots! Wow how much fun except when you would grin at me with your more than an arm full of the prizes for the day (more like truck load) that I wanted lol I am so glad I came and set and talked with you the other day in church. It hurt me so to see you and Tina apart but it made my heart smile when I saw you there on that pew. I was certain things would be okay as long as you could get to church . We talked and hugged and I even got a big ole smile out of ya. We both knew things were all going to work out. For whatever reason God wanted you now. We will always remember you in our hearts Jimmy and miss you greatly.
With lots of love, Terri

My sincerest sympathies to the Bower family. I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jimmy, and so very sorry for your loss. May God bless you in the days ahead and guide you through your grieving. I have many fond memories of Jimmy "my poker buddy, fb friend, and mentor" and will always remember the many laughs we shared at the card table. He loved the game, and was pretty darn good at it, very hard to beat, I may add. He knew exactly "when to hold them and when to fold them". I called him "straight man" because he was famous for winning hands with "a straight". He will be missed and forever in my heart. Thank you for the memories Jimmy. Rest In Peace my friend.
