I remember Gladys as a new mom when I was 6-7 years old. She has always had heart even when life did not serve her well. I will miss her deeply. Our granny will welcome her home.

I will always remember how kind and sweet Gladys was to everyone. How she would always shake her head at my Dad when ever he told a joke or picking at someone. I believe my most vivid memory of Gladys is when she was pregnant with her first child and was at Granny Coles' for awhile. She was told by the doctor not to eat candy and Granny watched her closely. I was six and she was I believe 16 and she told me if I would go to the store to get her a candy bar she would get me one too. So of course I did. Gladys and i would sit and eat the candy and laugh because we were getting one over on Granny. Of course we were both watching for Granny because we knew she would beat our butts! This was our little secret, I would like to offer my prayers and love to her family. My family. Although I had not seen her in many years I will always remember her sweet tender gentleness she always seemed to shine with.
