Growing up in Mt. Juliet I never knew a nicer, more caring family than the Harvills. I will never forget band trips and Larry, who was one of the band's biggest fans, always there cheering on Alan and John and the rest of us. My sincerest condolences to my dear friend, Alan, his mother, his brother, and the entire family during this sad time. I know Larry is looking down from heaven, probably wanting to tell all of us to stop fussing - but not this time. All my love, Janet Weimar

Larry was the solidest and truest friend almost from the moment he was born. He was born in August. I was born in April of the same year. The houses where we grew up were catty-corner. I last saw him at my father's funeral in Old Hickory in May of this year. Our shared experiences around our neighborhood, at Camp Boxwell (Boy Scout Camp), throughout elementary and high school are too overwhelming to recall... many shared with our mutual friend, Jerry Patton, whose house was directly behind mine and next to Larry's. Thank you Larry for being the friend you were to me and many others. Fine folk they turned out to be as well. You enriched all our lives. My condolences to Larry's family.
Larry was the essence of "friend."

To Sue and family I remember Larry as we grew up in Old Hickory and the older I get - the more I know it is a privilege and honor to do so. Sue -Pressures of previous commitments keep me from being there in body but we are there with you in spirit as you lay Larry's body to rest. In the words of the Psalmist - We cannot bring him back to us but we can go to him. Linda sends her prayers and best to you all. Love Tom and Linda Kilpatrick - Mt Juliet, TN

I going to miss Larry a lot. He was a delightful person to talk to. He was always friendly and upbeat and glad to see you. He made a real impact on my family and me. And he was always apt to mention Henrietta, our dog who became their dog, mostly due to incompatibilities with me and my stuff. There's a lot of other memories too but he was, and still is, a great guy!.
