Obituary of Iva Nell Smith

SMITH, Iva Nell, age 94, of Mt. Juliet passed away December 28, 2014. She was born in Cumberland County, KY on November 30, 1920 to the late C. B. and Minnie Smith. Iva Nell was a member of Beckwith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Glespie Smith; son, Mike Smith; and sisters, Irene Ashley and Mildred McCorkle. Survived by children, Steve (Sherry) Smith, Janie (Ricky) Newman; brother, Charles Hugh Smith; grandchildren, Traci (David) Harris, Wesley Tomlinson, Shawn (Angela) Smith, Brett Smith, Rachel Smith, Ethan Smith, Mika Dyer, Chris Dyer, Amy Dyer, Kyle Newman and Stephanie (Jimmy) Allen; and great-grandchildren, Trey, Rylan, Brynlie, Bexlie, Lucas, Nathan, Jacob and Caleb. Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Danny Tomlinson and Brother Ron Stewart on Tuesday, December 30th at 11 am at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Visitation with the family will be Monday, December 29th from 5-8 pm and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Iva Nell's granddaughters.
