It is with deep sorrow that we learned of the passing of one of our

Mrs. Betsy and I used to sing in the choir at First Baptist Mt. Juliet and often sit together. I always loved her because even though I was just a few years older than her oldest son she always treated me as an equal. We had many conversations and I loved her because she always took all my thoughts and concerns seriously. I lost contact as she moved to another church and work at Opryland took me away from church more and more. She will always be dear to me.

Betsy was my babysetter as well as my sister's Judy Wright. She also took care of my brother, Joe Cathey and Glen Cathey(passed away few years ago). I can't began to tell you the joy that Betsy brought to Joe, Glen,Judy, and me! She was my delight! Taking me to swing(which we called the back and forth") was a daily adventure with Betsy! She was considered part of my family, my sister . Even though I hadn't seen her in years, which is my lose, I know she would still be smiling and giving me a big kiss!
I'm going to try and find the picture that we have of her swinging me, giving me a kiss with every.."back and forth".
I will miss her so much, but I know my sister in Christ will be ready to swing with me in Heaven!
