Ken and Bro. and Mrs. Coats, I don't know if you will remember me, but I lived on Bluefield and Jean and I played together all the time when we were about 8 and 9 years old. Ken, you might remember my coming down to your house on occasion and playing with you too! I am just so sorry for your loss and would give anything if I could have seen Jean again. I wish I had known where she was living before she was gone. Ken, I also just found out about your mom and I am so sorry. I would love for you to contact me. Old times.

I transferred to Donelson Elem. in 1959. Jean was the first friend that I made there and we were best friends that year. Brother Coats, I don't know if you remember me and my family but you baptised me in the early 60's at Donelson Church of Christ. My parents were Clyde and Pearl Mundy and we were close neighbors of Lela Sorey. I am so sorry for your loss. Kenny, I hope you remember me, too. We went to high school together, I graduated in 68 and I think you were a year or two behind me. I am so sorry for the loss of your wife, and also your mother a few weeks ago. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could come to the funeral home but I am disabled now and don't get to leave my house very much. Darlene Mundy Harrell

To Brother Coats and Family,
I was shocked to hear the news of Jeannie's passing. I didn't find out til bedtime last night and wished I could've stopped by the funeral home yesterday to pay my respects. Jeannie and I were Best Friends for many years and I spent many a sleep over at your home. My prayers go out to you and your family and to Kenny, whom I also went to
Donelson with and graduated with in 1968. May you find peace in knowing where she is and that someday we all will get to see those we've loved.

Kenny. Bro. Wayne, Elaine, Bob and Gail, I just found out in the last hour about Jean and my heart is broken for all of you. Jean was a special friend and I will always remember all the great times I had at your house growing up in Bluefields. I would give anything if I could see Jean one more time, it is a shame that we let life keep us so busy that you don't see your friends. I do cherish our friendship betweem our families and all the special times we shared growing up. I was so happy when Jeanne and Kenny married, it was like knowing my childhood friends reconnected and I remember all times we played on Cumberland Circle and Overhill Drive. The Coates Family and the Harwell family has always had a special place in my heart and I will continue to pray for your comfort and look forward to the day I will see Jean on those golden streets. In God's love and may you find comfort in his love during this time. I would love to see each of you sometime soon.

To: Kenny Harwell, my old friend I was shocked to hear about the loss of both your mother and your wife. I didn't know about either until last night, but my mother has been very ill and I haven't kept up with the newspapers like I should. We grew up together and I'm sorry I didn't know and wasn't there to express my sympathy in person. Kenny, you are suffering from a terrible loss. Please know that your friends care. My parents send their deepest sympathy and please express our sympathy to the Coats family even though we've never met them. Many prayers,
Judy Brown

Dear Kenny and Mrs.and Mrs Coats, I have just learned of Jennie's passing from the email Jackie Fletcher sent out to his clients. I am shocked and saddened. Actually, my daughter, aged 32, just called me from London England, where she is on vacation to tell me she had seen the email on her phone there. She was in tears; she has never had another dental hygienist other than Jennie, and neither have I. I was just there on December 17, and we talked about my mother's recent passing, and Kenny's mother's illness. Now I learn that Kenny's mother has died too. Jennie was a wonderful and professional worker. She was friendly, and I have been her patient for over 30 years. She will be sorely missed.n3izk

I loved my aunt to death! We had a good Christmas and i am just heart broken about her death! On Christmas she was just crying and hugging me because i was crying about my dad(Bud Coats). She was telling me how she misses him so much. Now she is in heaven with him. I miss her so much. You don't know how little time you spend with your family members till they are gone! I love my Grandparents, Aunt Gail, and Uncle Bob to death! Love you Aunt Jennie!

Our whole family loves our memories of Jeannie. My husband & I and four children were her patients for many years. When we moved to Franklin, we changed dentists but our children grew up with sweet Jeannie. We are all so shocked and our thoughts and prayers are with your family. She was a true professional and we loved her as our friend.
