Obituary of Earl Marks

MARKS, Earl, age 84 of Mt. Juliet went to meet his Lord on Friday, December 11, 2009. He was preceded in death by parents, Sampson Bradley Marks and Mahaly Eugenia Thomason Marks; and brother, Tolbert Marks. Mr. Marks is survived by his wife of 64 years, Naomi Pauline �Polly� Marks; sons, Donnie (Donna) Marks of Lebanon and Sam (Sandi) Marks of Mt. Juliet; daughter, Sheila Marks of Nashville; special daughter, Robbie (Bill) Dotson of Springville, TN; sister, Bea McClure; sister-in-law, Ada Ruth Marks; grandchildren, Kristi (Joe) Lindholm, Todd (Susie) Marks, Troy (Ginger) Marks, Brad (Rachelle) Haney, Denise Marks, and Lora Nicole Haney; special grandchildren, Wayne (Patsy) Bumbalough and Jeff Bumbalough; great-grandchildren, Brianna Marks, Sarah-Beth Marks, Cody Marks, T. J. Marks, Dylan Marks, Joseph Spicer, Carson Marks and Carson Lindholm; special great-grandchildren, Michael Bumbalough, Samantha Bumbalough, and Jacob Bumbalough. Mr. Marks was a US Marine Corps veteran and served during WWII in the South Pacific and Iwo Jima. He was a member of the Leeville Church of Christ. Funeral services for Mr. Marks will be Monday, December 14th at 11am at Sellars at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Doy Hollman officiating. Interment will follow the services at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Todd Marks, Troy Marks, Brad Haney, Wayne Bumbalough, Jeff Bumbalough and Johnny Kirby serving as pallbearers.
