Obituary of Michael Dies
Michael Dies was called home to join his Lord & Savior on November 11, 2010, after a short illness. Michael's devotion to his family was only outweighed by his devotion to his Lord. Although a licensed Minister, he chose a pulpit in his everyday surroundings. He ministered to all he met; selflessly and without recompense. Michael was a self employed contractor, but considered his true job to be a husband, father, & grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed writing. His sharp wit was a defining signature of his character. Because he gave of himself so abundantly-the echo of his sparkling laughter, the feel of his tender love- will remain strong with those who had the privilege of knowing him, until we
are reunited with him once again. A Celebration & Memorial of His Life, will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2 pm. Visitation with the family will be from 1 pm until the service. The Memorial service will be conducted at New Hope Baptist Church on New Hope Road in Alexandria, TN by Brother Ronald Smith with David Merchoff and Mark Garrison leading the Celebration with memories and song. Survivors include his wife & soul mate of 36 years, Laura Gail Dies; 4 Children: Christopher & Christy Dies, Keith & Amanda Dies, both of Alexandria, Jason & Jeri Dies of Lebanon, Jamie
