Obituary of David Lee Mason

David Mason passed away on April 28, 2012 at age 56. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held for Mr. Mason at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012, Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon. Visitation with the family is from 10 a.m. until the service. Mr. Mason was a 1974 graduate of Father Ryan High School and earned degrees in both Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Nashville Technological College. With a career spanning over 38 years, primarily in the automotive manufacturing industry, Mr. Mason last served as the Quality Manager for MSSC, located in Hopkinsville KY. Mr. Mason is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy L. Williams, father, George Peyton Mason, and grandmother, Jeanette Lee. Survivors include wife of 24 years, Penelope, daughters Andrea (Nathan) Morris and Paige Mason, siblings Elaine (Steve) Pedigo, Tommy (Loretta) Mason, Melanie Phillips, Mike (Sheila) Williams, Mark Williams, Lisa (Perry) Bailey, and Charlie Williams, a multitude of loving extended family, coworkers, and friends. A devoted husband and father, Mr. Mason was also an avid NFL Washington Redskins fan. The family would like to thank the caring, compassionate professionals at the Cancer Care Center, Tennessee Oncology, and University Medical Center for fighting tirelessly alongside Mr. Mason.
