O'Neal will be greatly missed. He was my sometimes fishing partner and full time hero. I'm a better person for having the honor of knowing this hero who helped save the nation in WWII. I'm also grateful that he served as Grand Marshal of the 2010 Veterans Day parade. He's gone for a higher award now than we could ever bestow on him.

You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers. I just read your father's obituary and am in awe of his legacy of military service for our country. I wish you much comfort and peace for the coming days. We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we do know WHO holds tomorrow...

Hey Cindy, I just saw this and I am so sorry I did not get over there to see you all. WOW, my daddy told me that him and O'Neal had a beat who was going to leave the longest, with in 5 days of each. I miss daddy so much as you will also. They were the foundation of our lives. I love you and I will call you. Darlene
