A few years ago, I had the privilege to share the COE library with Gaile. However, there is no space that can contain Gaile’s personality. We laughed, cried, and loved on kids together. Gaile was always thinking about her own family and their needs; she never complained or intimated that she had any struggles of her own. I was excited to be working with her again at WTES. I asked about her husband and her kids; she shared highlights in each of their lives. Her love for those in her life was bigger than any personal issue. My prayers are for those she held close in her heart. As you walk through this valley, may the LORD be your shepherd. May He quiet you with His love. May He alone give you hope. May you know His presence and His peace and His comfort. And may you rest in Him all the days of your lives.

Dr. Gaile was defintely one of a kind. Each time I spoke with Dr. Gaile she would always say "I know I am your favorite". Her winning ways made her my favorite. Dr. Gaile always had time to ask about my family. She truly had a love for others. I will miss her. To Dr. Gaile's family, please know you will be in my prayers as you face the days ahead. Look back and remember how much she was loved and how much she loved you! Mattie Gregory

I was fortunate enough to have classes at Cumberland University under Dr. Gaile. She was an inspirational person and always had a witty side for whatever we were doing. Having her work with our Southside team was great. She always stopped to say hello and brightened my day! I especially was glad to have had her son Kori in my art class and see what a unique person he is. I will cherish the memories of her.

I had no idea, I would have called, I missed her when I left, now I'll miss her more, her smile, the way she made me laugh. To the little gifts she would leave on our desk, and the lights she would hang up on christmas, all over the office. To a very kind, generous and funny person, Gaile I will miss you, and I love you, rest in peace in the loving arms of the Lord......love Mel

The sun is a lot dimmer her in Watertown since we have lost our bright sunshine. Dr. Gaile, you were the sweetest and funniest lady I know and could always lift my spirits no matter what kind of day I was having. You will be so missed by all of us here at Watertown Elementary! Our prayers are with your family and friends. Our loss is Heaven's gain! I am sure you are wearing your flip-flops! Love you always!

Dr. Gaile, God broke the mold when he made you. You were always a ray of sunshine and kept everyone in stitches. I am sure that everyone is rolling in laughter in heaven now that you are there. There will be a void at LHS without you but we will take good care of Kori for you and Paul. You will live forever in our hearts. Your friend, Myra Jane Sloan

The number of people Gaile touched is certainly beyond counting. The students she taught at Cumberland, myself being one of those, her co-workers, of which I was lucky enough to be a part of also, and all the students she served in Wilson County Schools and the people in the private sector. What a legacy of service to others she leaves behind. Gaile was truly a remarkable person whose quick wit and terms of endearment she used with those she encountered made you feel at ease right away. I recall how beautiful she was when she and Paul married and how happy she was to have Kori become a part of her family. I loved to hear her talk about the family summer trips which sounded like wonderful adventures. Gail will be certainly be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Gaile made me laugh more times than I can count. She was one of the most knowledgable speech-language pathologists I know, and our profession is better because she was one of us. She cared deeply for her family and sacrificed on all levels for them. I sure will miss her!

My dear friend, Gaile, was a wonderful person, an excellent speech therapist, a mentor, a helper, a sit-on-the-back row co-jokester, and so much more. She was one of a kind, and will be dearly missed. If she loved you, she loved you all the way and she always made me feel special as her friend. She never forgot to ask about my family and my boys, and I think that stemmed from how much she loved her own son...she talked of him all of the time. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. She's irreplaceable in our profession and as a friend!

Gaile was one of my closest and dearest friends. When I was down she could always make me laugh. The best laugh we had together was a day that I was waiting in my car while my husband was having dialysis. She did not see me in the car sleeping and she went in the employees door and was looking for me. She scared everyone to death. She was determined to find me and bring me coffee. I will never forget all that she did for me when she didn't have to. She was always worried about someone other than herself. She was so proud of her kids especially Kori and his music. I will miss her.

I was constantly in awe of her knowledge and discernment. I will miss hearing her call and say "Leader person, this is Gailepoo!" She was consistently more concerned with others than she was for herself. A True Classy Lady! Prayers of comfort for your family as you press on without her.

Gaile was the Chair of the Education Dept. at Cumberland University when I was transferred from the Dean's office to her dept. in June 1997. She was busy planning her wedding to Paul, which was taking place later in June. I worked directly for Gaile for a couple of years. Gaile was very helpful to me as I had been unable to get my daughter tested for A.D.D by Wilson County for 4 years. She made one phone call and it was done immediately. I was forever grateful to her. She was a great supervisor, always funny but very compassionate, too. So often she would say to me if I were staying late to make up time that I was in class, "is your work caught up or are you behind? If you're caught up, go home. I don't care what you do as long as you're getting the work done." She always drove a Cadillac and would have me go in it to her house to pick Paul up or take him home from his classes when he was unable to drive for a time. Never a dull moment with Gaile. Prayers for Paul and Kori as they deal with her loss. She was definitely one of a kind, and I considered her a friend even though I haven't seen her in a long time.

I only had the preveledge to work With Gaile for a little over a year. She was such a pleasure to work with and truely had a handle on what ment most in life. I will miss working with her to serve our students in Wilson County. She will truely be missed, but the world, Tennessee, and especially Wilson County is a better place for having her while we did.
