Dear Sellars Family, I am sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I may have met him as a child, but I did not really remember having done so. My most recent recollecion of him was at my Uncle Sam Adkerson's funeral. My deepest sympathies go out to all of you at this time of sorrow. May God be with you and see you through these times of grief. Rejoice that one day we will all be together again. Stan Adkerson, son of James Oliver Adkerson.

Eddie Lee, Like his daddy walter, is one of the greatest men I've ever known. There are few people that can brighten a room and inspire people just by being present. Eddie is one of them. Family reunions were made all the more better because of his funny and clever jokes, and stories of the past. I regret that I wasn't able to spend more time where I was born, Lebanon Tennessee, so I could have shared more memories with Eddie and the rest of my Tennessee family.
I love him, I will miss him, and for me... as long as I'm alive, his memory is alive and well.
To all my family... I love you, I miss you, I grieve with you; you are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.

Eddie Sellars will be missed by anyone who ever met him. He was kind and gentle and friendly with everyone. He never met a stranger and he never acted like he was better than anyone. Eddie was a wonderful role model for his family. He showed his spiritual side when he always said the blessing before a meal. He was traditional in that he passed his family traditions down to his children and grandchildren. He was funny, always pulling pranks. He was a good friend to many people. He would do anything for anyone. Rest in peace Eddie. You will always live on in our hearts.

I met Eddie when I first moved to TN from Massachusetts in 1996. I was living in an apt. in Hermitage and was looking for a job. He was nice enough to give me one! I couldn't ask for a nicer and caring boss! He always treated me like family. He made living away from my own family much easier. He was always playing jokes on everyone or just doing something funny! One day he was explaining directions to me(being new and all) and he told me to go "down yonder". Well the northern girl that I was didn't understand what "down yonder" was! I said, what does that mean? right down the street? or a ways down? He just laughed and thought I was being funny, BUT I REALLY didn't know what that meant! Well I do now, and every time someone says that I think of Eddie. He helped turn me into a "southern girl"......well with the help of our friend Mark too! I have a lot of great memories of Eddie and the 4 years I worked for him I'll never forget! Eddie, you will be missed....
My thoughts and prayers go out to your family...
God Bless
Jen

I will miss Eddie's infectious smile & much like my dad, he had a tremendous sense of humor! I remember him most when we would vacation every July and would gather at Grandma & Grandpa Roberts or at one of our famous Family Reunions. I can still see the grins and hear the joking while the men would be clanging horse shoes & all the cousins, Eddie & my Dad "Uncle Charlie" would be ribbin' each other about who made that perfect ringer! Eddie loved God and his family and even though we lived far away, he shared that same love and hospitality to our family! I can still hear him say how Uncle Charlie made the very best spaghetti and meatballs and he would ask for more. Like his parents, My Uncle Walter & Aunt Nell, he showed genuine kindness to us. I'm grateful he hired my Dad in his golden years of retirement to work at his Health Spa, which gave my Dad something to look forward. And I'll never forget even though he was not well himself, how he visited my dying mother (Aunt Dowlene) & left a love note on her hospital bed, which we kept and still is taped to mother's dresser mirror as a testament of his caring and selfless heart! Cousin Eddie, we will mis you and we know that you are in the arms of your Savior. Yes, and you've joined my parents and yours and The Roberts Family and all those whom have crossed over to heaven's bright shore. Say hello to all of them for us and rejoice my cousin and dear brother- You have run a good race and you have fought your last fight. And now rest in your new eternal home - "OVER YONDER!"

Mr. Sellars was one of the kindest men I have ever known. He was soft-spoken and caring, and the finest father to his his children that I've ever seen. He always made me feel like part of his family. He is deeply missed by all who was blessed to know him.

Barb & Family, Although Dennis and I are unable to be with you at this time, please know that our prayers are continued for you. We were so thrilled to have you as neighbors and Ken was looking forward to the when you were here full time and he and Ed could golf together. I'll bet that they are having a reunion on the biggest and best golf course of all time. Ed was always so kind and considerate and I enjoyed watching him work his magic with the stone work and landscaping. I cried when I saw the For Sale sign go up even though I knew it was coming. Hold tight to all of the good memories. That's what I'm trying to do. Please call me (931-456-1972) if you will be coming to the Glade as I don't want to miss seeing you. My email is ddiane@frontiernet.net. May the God of love, peace and comfort give you strength and good friends to wrap their arms around you. Love In Christ,
Diane & Dennis Donald

I recall Eddy when my grand parents used to go to Bro. Walter Sellars' Church of God. He was in my sister's age group, but I want to pass on my regrets to the family. I have lived in Albuquerque since l988. I also went to school with Billy Sellars at Lebanon High School. I will pass this message along to another lady and her husband who also went to school in Lebanon and presently lives in Taylor Ranch area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. My deepest sympathy and regards to Eddy's family. Brenda Thoreson

I am a client of Hermitage Fitness Center and even more important, Eddie was my friend. He always had a smile on his face--he was an encourager and we need more of these in this world. My sympathy goes to the entire Sellars family at his difficult time. Know that all of you will be in my prayers as you face life without Eddie. God has a reason for everything--He just doesn't always let us know what it is. In Christian love,
Pat Turner
