Obituary of Raymond Joseph Whitfield

Joe Whitfield, age 75, passed away on December 14, 2013. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Tom Suiter and Brother Donald Owens, is 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers: Wayne Love, Howard Williams, Tom Harris, Curtis Smith, Ronnie Harris, Jim Walton, Ty Buhler, and Brody Ferrell. Honorary Pallbearers: James Earl Keel and Gerald Maggart. Hatton Ave, Lebanon TN 37087, 615.444.0632). Special Thanks: Dr. Jyoti Patel and staff at the Murfreesboro VA Hospice Care for their kindness. Mr. Whitfield served in the United States Army, worked for Tennessee Wholesale Drug Company as a pharmaceutical salesman for 30 years, and after retirement, worked with ADS Security. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, loved fishing, oil painting, iris, reading, and was a Civil War history buff. He is survived by his wife Anita Stone Whitfield, sons Dallus Whitfield and Kyle Stone Whitfield, brother-in-law Daniel (Donna) Stone, and two nieces, Ashleigh Beyer and Alyssa Kraft. He is preceded in death by parents Raymond Joseph and Nelle Walton Whitfield, Sr., and brother Finis Charles Whitfield.
