Obituary of Raymond L. Malone

WILSON COUNTY MALONE, Raymond, age 81 of Mt. Juliet passed away July 22, 2009. Mr. Malone was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of God. He played baseball for the Leeville Red Sox. He was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and retired from DuPont. Mr. Malone was preceded in death by parents, Grady & Lucille Denton; brother-in-law, Bud Sircy; and uncle, Clem Malone. He is survived by wife of 58 years, Jean Collins; brother, Larry "L.G." Malone; sister, Mary Jo Sircy; children, Ginger (Gary) Dorris, Vicki Malone, and Wendell Malone; grandchildren, Ashley Hickerson, Gregory Dorris, Kelly Malone, Drew Malone, and Josh Kershaw; great-grandchildren, Bailey Rollins, Erik Roberson, Cory Roberson and Ethan Kershaw; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Friday, July 24th at 1pm at Sellars at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment will follow the service at Leeville Cemetery with Bobby Sircy, Jimmy Sircy, Gregory Dorris, Drew Malone, Mike Hickerson and Josh Kershaw serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 23rd from 4-8 pm and Friday, July 24th from 11am until time of service. Arrangements by SELLARS AT MT.
