Dear Toots, and Teddy, I so want to be with you on Friday. But I am not able to. I am heartbroken that the one I called sister is not with us anymore, but comforted that Charley walks among the angles. Charley and I met on the first day of 6th grade. We were fast and very close friends from that day forward. Although the years and the miles have kept us apart, she has always been close to me in heart and in Spirit. My youngest daughter has the middle name of Rose - after Charley and Grandma. I am flooded with memories of Charley. Swimming in her aunts pool next door, watching the ball games with my dad, listening to music in her living room. She was apart of my family, and I was apart of hers. So many wonderful memories! Toots, you will forever be my second mom. I wish I could be there with you now, to tell you how much I love you and loved my Charley. May you find comfort as the family gathers, and peace as the time passes. Love Chris

Charlene was always the "big sister." She was the responsible one to all our shenanigans. ;-) I remember how important music was to her. She was the first person I ever remember playing an instrument. We've lived far apart for far too long and I have missed out on seeing the woman she has become. Lately she and I have talked on the phone a great deal about family history. She dabbled and it was fun to hear her talk about it. Charlene, I miss you! I send all my love to Aunt Toots, Teddy, Jim, and Ward. You've lost someone dear to your hearts and she is gone too soon. Be patient. We will all be together again.
