Obituary of Bobby Lee Cummings

CUMMINGS, Robert "Bobby" Lee, age 66 of Mt. Juliet went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 8, 2012. Bobby was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Don and Iva F. Cummings. He is survived by sisters, Barbara Cummings and Debbie (Mike) Foust; brother, Donny (Cheryl) Cummings; and many nephews, nieces and extended family. Bobby was born in Hastings, Nebraska on August 11, 1945. After his graduation, he joined the Military where he served as Military Police and then in the Army National Guard as a Sergeant in the 401st MP POW Camp. He was also a founding member of the Nashville Songwriters Association. He had made lifelong friends in the Music Industry. As a songwriter, the Lord opened many doors for Bobby. Along with his love for music and song writing, he was an Antiquarian and had his own antique shop. Bobby had a special talent of finding rare antiques which was a true passion of his. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13th at 2 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Chaplain Paul Gunn officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Ray Armstrong, Dave Gibson, David Gibson Jr., Kevin Grant, Mike Rivers, Chris Zamora, Joe Smith, and Joshua Foust serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are: Bill Ricks, Mike Foust, Travis Foust, and Bryan Reese.
