Obituary of Kathleen Doris Campbell
WILSON COUNTY
CAMPBELL, Kathleen Doris, age 88 of Mt. Juliet passed away January 10, 2009. Kathleen, above all, loved God and lived her faith. She grew up during the Depression and suffered many losses, including her baby brother, Georgie, and her father to TB when she was only 4 years old. She was a hard-working farmer's wife, a wonderful loving mother and much loved grandmother and aunt. She was a Fuller Brush lady for many years. Though she took no lessons, she learned to "play by ear" as she put it, taught herself how to play piano. For more than 35 years she was the church pianist and then, organist for Full Gospel Assembly in Presque Isle, ME. She taught Sunday School. Well into her 80's, she was able to live on her own, and was the church organist for Rev. John Palmer's church in Carson, ME. She was well-loved and cared for by her niece, Faith Corey Cochran, for many years while living at McCully Commons in Presque Isle, ME. Truly heaven is a grander place for her presence there! Now she has put out her hand and touched the face of her God! Can the end of one's life be more awesome than that?! Preceded by husband of 50 years, Bernard Vance Campbell; parents, John and Aleva Pettengill; son, Garry Dale Campbell; brother, George "Georgie" Pettengill; sisters, Winnifred "Winnie" Pettengill and Dora Ryder Corey.
