What a character Cathy was! And, oh, how she could tell a story! I will surely miss her presence and the laughter she always dished out with a flair like no other. Last time I saw her, although she struggled mightily to walk, she didn't hesitate to make light of her illness by showing off her bald head. She laughed about her "dancing shoes" and cane, and then proceeded to unfurl the latest quilt she'd finished for one of her customers. It is that personable, wild, funny, opinionated, goofy, determined woman I'll miss, but will always remember with a smile. My prayers go out to her family and many friends.

I am sorry for a loss of a friend. I met Kathy thru other quilting friends. I didn't get to see her often. I am so glad Regina, Mindy and I visited Kathy before she passed away. I always think of her as Chatty Kathy, as others called her. She was so friendly and uplifting no matter what was going on in her life. She was a great person and friend. I will miss you. Love
Candy

This is for one of the best sisters in the world! I will love you always and will miss you tremendously. I will always cherish the times we have had together. The only regret that I have is that we didn't live closer to be able to see each other more often. I know that you are in Heaven now and are not suffering anymore. Tell Daddy that I love him too and miss you both so very much. One light goes out in this world without your smiling face! I love you.....Laurie

Knowing Cathy has been a blessing. She and I loved to laugh and there was never a dull moment when we were together. She took me on a fast ride down the mountain in the Charger, she quilted my first "real" quilt, she encouraged me, mentored me, taught me. She loved life and those who spent it with her. She was an important part of the corner of the world she inhabited. She made it a better place. She will be forever in the hearts of so many because of the love she had for quilting. I am so sorry that we had to lose her. To her family, my deepest sympathy in the loss of your wife, mother, and sister. To her quilt family and friends, my heart feels the same sorrow that yours does. Her life was a beautiful quilt, pieces from so many places and people, all woven together with the golden threads of love.

Cathy and I were members of the Iris Guild and she was one of my first "quilting friends". She encouraged me and gave me long arm quilting advice when I decided to purchase my own. I last saw her at the Joanne's New Year's Day Sale where she again encouraged me and we talked over fabric "sales". You have my heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

I will miss you terribly. But you will always be close to me and the ones I love each time we cover up with the many quilts you have done for us. You were a blessing to me in so many ways. You encouraged me and helped me on my way as a quilter. May you now have peace. And may the knowledge of this pease help your family through this time of sorrow. You will always be loved!
