Obituary of Warren Russell Makin

Warren Russell Makin, Sr., of Old Hickory passed away March 24, 2011 at the age of 78. He was born September 26, 1932 in Maple Shade, New Jersey. He served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957. He was preceded in death by son, Warren Russell Makin, Jr.; mother, Christine Makin; father, Earl Makin; and brothers, Earl Makin, Bob Makin, Irv Makin and William Makin. He is survived by wife of 55 years, Ruth Makin; daughter, Lori Alexander; son, Terry (Rita) Makin; grandchildren, John Makin, James Makin, Mikie Bancroft, Christa (Scott) Graeff, Ashley Bancroft, Nick Oliver and Kaylee Makin; great-grandchildren, Hunter Graeff, Christopher Graeff, and Krystal Makin. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Odyssey Hospice. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 27th at 2 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Jim Clardy and Bro. Ron Brown officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Terry Makin, Mikie Bancroft, Nick Oliver, Trey Neltner, David Kemp, Gary Kemp and Mike Kemp serving as pallbearers.
