Kent was my father's youngest brother. I remember Kent and Billie most recently as being active in the work of the Nashville Area Churches of Christ Disaster Relief effort. We have visited Kent and Billie in their Antioch home. I recall talking with them about training the animals when Opreyland first started up in Nashville. I always wondered how he could do such a good job with those critters. Of course Billie was always there by his side, taking care of her mom for many years. I certainly fondly look back at the many times they visited us in Crossville. Kent with his red hair and it seems Billies' was always white. I recall one visit when we were all going to Church and Billie was trying to be helpful. She wispered to Kents' mom that she was slipping, a polite way of letting her know that her slip was showing. Well grandma had never heard that saying and I don't guess she cared that her slip was showing. Anyway that did cause a bit of commotion. So sorry for your loss. I lost my mom Pauline in 2010.

Mom was a woman of great faith, always knew God would take care of our needs and instilled that in all of her children. One day Grandma Hill fell out of her wheel chair and Mom wasn't strong enough to lift her and Dad wasn't there. Now most people might have called 911, but Mom just walked out into the busy intersection and flagged down the first person that came by knowing that most people are usually helpful. Of course, this person did stop to help, and just happened to be a physical therapist who knew exactly how to lift Grandma back into her chair. That was her version of 911 - I'm betting the response was much faster that the Nashville system. . .
