Obituary of Charles M. Janiro

Charles Janiro, Sr. passed away at University Medical Center in Lebanon on February 23, 2011 at age 76. A blessing service, with Father Harrold officiating, will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10 a.m., Beatty-Rich Funeral Home in Madison, Pennsylvania. Interment in Westmoreland County Memorial Park Cemetery in Hempfield Township. Born in Mathers, PA, he was a son of the late Domenico and Margaret Ferutti Janiro. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Hockensmith Steel Co. as a grinder. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the Navy on the U.S.S. Missouri. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Marie Gerber Janiro. Survivors include five sons: William (Lori) Janiro of Madison PA, Charles (Mary Ann) Janiro Jr. of Ruffsdale PA, Roy (Shiela) Janiro of Nashville TN, Robert (Sondra) Janiro of Mt. Juliet TN, and Michael (Rebecca) Janiro of Ashland City TN; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother: Dominick (Janet) Janiro of North Huntington PA; and two sisters: Mary Shurzenski of North Irwin PA, and Arnelia (William) Nesbit of Claridge PA.
