Obituary of William Herschel Campbell

WILSON COUNTY CAMPBELL, William Herschel, age 95 of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away on July 19, 2008. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by parents, Nealus Tom and Ellen Thomas Campbell; brothers, Roy Campbell and George Campbell; and sister, Lelia Allison. He is survived by wife of 71 years, Annie Elizabeth Campbell; sons, Ralph (Nolene) Campbell and Wayne (Carolyn) Campbell; grandchildren, Chuck (Jackie) Campbell and Rachel (Brody) Ferrell; great-grandson, Grant Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Campbell was employed at DuPont for 48 years and the Mt. Juliet Funeral Home for 12 years. He was an active member of the Mt. Juliet First Baptist Church serving as Deacon, Usher and Greeter. For 43 years, he ministered to Wilson County nursing homes including Margie Anna Nursing Home, Johnson Retirement Nursing Home, and Mt. Juliet Health Care. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd at 3 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. Billy Friel, Rev. David Fallon, Ralph W. Campbell and Chuck Campbell officiating. Interment will follow the services at Wilson County Memorial Gardens, Lebanon, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
