Obituary of Fred Jones

Sonny Jones passed away on Saturday October 29, 2011 at his residence. He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy, Special Forces. He was a member of VFW, DAV, and the American Legion. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Monday from 2-8 p.m., on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m., and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Dennis Waynick and Brother Fred Jones III, is 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Interment in the Nashville National Cemetery. Pallbearers; Trent Dyer, Jason Holder, Jeremy Rodgers, Shane Rodgers, Glenn Williams, and Fuzzy South. Special Thank you to Donelson Home Health, Joe Trombley, The Breakfast Crew at Elaine's Restaurant, and Staff on 2 North at UMC, and Special Angels Mary Frances, Dusty, and Karen. Survivors include wife of 17 years, Debbie Hodge Jones; children: Barbara " Bobbie" (Walter) Rodgers, Fred " Dee" (Barbara Ann) Jones, Cayce (Charlotte) Jones; step-children: Jason (Crissie) Holder, and Trent Dyer; grandchildren: Fred "Doug" Jones, DeeAnn Cochran, Walter " Shane" Rodgers, Jeremy Rodgers, Jordan Prichard, Jacob Lane, Chelsea Holder, and Allisah Holder; 6 great-grandchildren: 4 sisters: Marie(James) Hall , Elaine (Bill) Malone, Barbara Jones, and Donna Jones; and 2 brothers: Bobby (Elsie) Jones and Raymond (Diane) Jones. He is preceded in death by first wife Barbara N. Jones, and parents Fred and Ruby Byrd Jones Sr.
