Obituary of Edward D. Mitchell

Edward Mitchell, of Hendersonville, passed away on June 21, 2011 at age 86. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 6-8 p.m. on Friday,, June 24th and on Saturday from noon until the service. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Barry Davis, is 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011. Interment in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Chad Powers, Nathan Meyers, Don Bennett, David Williams, Bill Ragsdale, and Bob Bennett. Memorial Donations: American Cancer Society (2000 Charlotte Ave, Nashville TN 37203, 615.327.0991). Mr. Mitchell was a member of the First Baptist Church Madison, a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Survivors include wife Nealie Bennett Mitchell, daughter Judie (Mark) Powers, siblings Margaret McDonald and Don (Shirley) Mitchell, grandchildren Chad (Krystie) Powers and Brittany (Nathan) Meyers, and great-grandchildren: Slayden and Sophie Powers. He is preceded in death by parents Ernest and Sarah Spann Mitchell, brothers Jerry Mitchell, Gene Mitchell, and Robert Mitchell, and sisters Wylene Harmon and Louise Williams.
