Obituary of Cripps Charles Edward
Charlie Cripps passed away on March 9, 2009 at age 76. He was a local business entrepreneur, a 57 year member of Fairview Church, a gun and knife collector, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 3-8 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday will be from 2 p.m. until service at Fairview Church. The church service, conducted by Brother Michael Christian and son Sid Cripps will eulogize, is 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Fairview Church. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers: Derrell Reese, Wayne Ligon, Tommy Edwards, Lane Martin, Steve Hornsby, and David Bush. Honorary Pallbearers: Remaining active and inactive deacons' body at Fairview Church, brother by love Guy Mathis, special friends A.B. Hedgepath, Clint Allen, William McClain, Earl Tomlinson, Sam Sherrill, Boyd King, Don Lancaster, and the Darrell Townsend Men's Class at Fairview. Survivors include wife of 58 years Elease Davenport Cripps; children: Ricky (Doris) Cripps and Sid (Jan) Cripps, all of Lebanon; grandchildren: Charlie Cripps, Cale Cripps, Brad Cripps, and Claire Cripps; 3 great grandchildren: Brett, Brice, and Cody Cripps.
