Kello ~ My entire heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Uncle Charlie was a wonderful man and he always made me laugh! I have so many fond memories of him and us growing up. I wish I had been closer to him in my older years, as I was in my younger years. I am so very sorry for you, Coni and your babies, as I know he will be terribly missed by all. I love you sweet girl!

Just want to say how sorry we are for the loss of your father and your best friend and the kids grandfather. Know that you and the whole family are in our thoughts and prayers and we will be here for you. I do remember one thing about him, he sold my cousin's husband a bull we called him Charlie Bull well now here is the sad but funny part he put the bull in a round pen and he got hung up so had to be put down well my cousin had him some meat made from Charlie Bull so he invited us down for grilled steaks, ok were all setting there and looking at them fine looking steaks but none of us could eat them for all we could think about was that was Charlie Bull. So hope this might bring a smile to your face knowing we couldn't eat his bull. Much Love to you and the whole family. Love Willie & Judy

I just want to start out by thanking you for everything. You made so many things happen for me that I am very thankful for. I thank God for bringing you into my life; you were the grandaddy I never had. I would give anything to see you pull into the driveway waving, hearing you say "hi cowgirl and cowboy", helping me catch Rachel, and many many more things. I'll never forget the funny things you used to say and do, you always made me smile. You were such an amazing person and an influence to so many people. One day I’ll be able to ride with you again but until then I’ll hold on to the memories made with you. Rest easy Mr. Charlie. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

When I was really little, my sisters and I told my dad that we wanted a calf. Who better to go to than Charlie Dunn? So my dad did that. Mr. Charlie played along as we emptied our piggy banks to give him everything that we had. He accepted our coins as payment for a cow we would later name Candy. A cow that, although it was cow, brought us sisters so much joy and so many memories. And for that, only Charlie Dunn can be thanked.
When Mr. Charlie spoke, the world stopped for me. Because I knew that the years of knowledge and wisdom of a great cowboy were about to be spoken. He means a lot to so many, especially his family. During your time of grief, please know that your husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, and uncle was a great man. A man that many loved and looked up to. A man that has helped so many people reach their goals and dreams in life. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I wish that I could be there in person to honor him as he should be. I apologize for not being there. But just know that I am there, in spirit, in thought, in prayer. A loss as great as this I know is not easy. But with what Charlie has taught us all, we know that we will see him again. He is now above, in Cowboy Heaven, watching over Mrs. Connie, Kelli, and all of y'all.
His hard-worked, callused, scuffed cowboy hands are now working so hard in heaven. His wait to see his family will feel like a day, even though for us it will feel like forever. In Heaven, the days do not pass like they do here (or so I've read). Take each day here on Earth one day at a time. It will not be easy, I'm sure. But with each day that passes, you are one day closer to seeing Mr. Charlie again.
I love you all. May you find peace, strength, and comfort during this difficult time.
