I met "Bubba"(or Bud) years ago at Daisy Mays. He had a broken arm and needed a ride home. I was from Michigan working at DuPont and had just started hanging out at Daisy's. I gave him a ride home and that was the beginning of a great friendship. When I married Barbara Lassiter Brown, he was our best man (Barbara and I have been divorced for over 25 years). After I had moved back to Michigan (after living here for a few years) I used to visit every year or so. I feel badly that I hadn't been here in the last 14 years (mostly due to illness in the family). Bubba will live on in my memories. I met his son Whitey a few times and he probably doesn't remember me. While down here, I will go to the grave and pay my respects. My condolences to the family. Anyway, Rest in Peace my Friend.......
