I worked with Scott for several years at MI, the educational assessment company where we worked scoring student essays and other constructed responses. We rode to work together for several months, and I was impressed by his kind heart and generous spirit. I wish I had known him better--I especially wish I'd known about his prowess as a classical guitarist--but I remember him fondly and wish him well on his journey.

I knew Scott from working with him at Measurement Inc. ("the test-grading gig"). He struck me as such a kind and gentle soul. I didn't know of his golf prowess at that time; it is nice to read about that in the previous tribute. I was looking him up online just now, and discovered that he had passed away when I found this notice, and I want to let Scott's loved ones know that there are some folks out here who held him in warm regards, even though we only knew him casually in the working world. Scott was a very pleasant fellow, and I wish him well on his voyages through the Heavens. God bless.

Scott lived in the room next door at Ohio State. I used to hear him playng this beautiful classical guitar from his room. He should have been a professional classical guitarist. I remember that we were on our dorm floor intramural basketball team, playing the second-string football players and getting beat about 80 to 2 ! We played golf together, I was terrible, he was good. I remember watching Scott play in the Ohio Amateur championship at Muirfild Village. Scott tracked me down a couple of years ago. we talked or e-mailed often. I had taken up golf again, Scott gave me tips. We did not get a chance to get together, Scott wanted to see my swing to give me more tips, maybe now he will be able to see me. Hopefully he can give the club a nudge if my swing is off plane or give the ball a nudge into the hole ! I'm not sure if there are golf courses in heaven, I am convinced that golf is an evil game, but if there are, Scott can play again ! Rest in peace Scott, rest in peace.
