Mr. Bob, we (citizens of the bend) dearly miss you. I can not believe a year has passed. I still find myself looking for your truck coming around every curve. We will never be able to replace "the mayor of the bend". Hope to see you on the opposite shore!!!

Uncle Bob was a great person I have known since I was a little girl. He would always stop by our house in the Bend and sometimes we would hop in the back of his truck and head to Hartsville with him and our Pa. I remember we would always stop and get some ice cream over there. While I was in Lebanon over the weekend, I drove down to the Bend and stopped by to see you on Saturday. I never knew I was a day late until I woke up Sunday morning and saw your obituary. I wish I could have had one last talk with you and so you could have met my children. I love you and miss you. Hope you and Pa are taking rides together up in heaven!

Uncle Bob was a very caring and loving man. One who loved the Lord and anyone he ever came into contact with. I always love to go to Aunt Mollie and Uncle Bobs house to visit. When I was little he and Aunt Mollie would come to Florida and he would take all of us to Dairy Queen to get banana splits. Tony and I would ride in the back of his pickup under the camper and eat ours. I am sure he is in heave enjoying seeing Aunt Mollie and Dan. He will be missed here on earth but haven has a big place for him.

Mr. Bob is one of the greatest men I ever meet. When he lead a prayer at church, it was a personal conversation to God. He never read from notes, but spoke to The Father from the heart. The members of the Corinth Church of Christ will miss Dewey Bob. I look forward to seeing you again.

Sorry to hear of Mr Helm's (Bob's) passing, he was a friend of my father's (of which was a commissioner in Smith County until 1982). I always enjoyed talkig to Mr. Helms about those years in Smith County and he was a good honest (fun to talk to) man. May God Bless all of his family I know he will be missed.
