Obituary of Mildred Louises Wix

Mildred Louise Wix, age 89 of Gallatin/Castalian Springs passed away Saturday May 9, 2015. Funeral Service will be Wednesday May 13th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Pastor Jimmy Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Garden, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mrs. Wix was born June 7, 1925 in Sumner County to the late Fred Davis, Sr. and Mary Ellen Denning Davis. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Russell E. Wix; sons, Howard Wix and Ray Wix; brothers, Lee Davis and Fred Davis, Jr.; sister Hazel Davis; and 1 grandson. She is survived by son, Darrell Wix of Ill.; daughters, Teresa Williams of Gallatin, Gayle Thayer (Henry) of Bethpage, Vicki Rubalcaba of Castalian Springs, and Debbie Wix of Gallatin; brothers, Jimmy Davis of Portland, and Donald Davis (Peggy) of Portland; sister, Ann Story (William) of Cross Plains; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
