Obituary of Phyllis Coffee Tomlinson

Phyllis Tomlinson passed away at University Medical Center on December 15, 2010 at age 52. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, December 17th and from 10 a.m. until service on Saturday. The chapel service, conducted by Pastor John Petree, is 1 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Ricky Coffee, Tommy Malone, Johnny Ballinger, Ray Tomlinson, Tony Tomlinson, and Shirley Judkins. Honorary Pallbearers: Neal Agee Jr., Bobby Hickerson, Dr. Roger McKinney, Dr. Bill Robertson, Dr. James Peyton, and Dr. Richard Peyton. In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to Sherry"s Run (PO Box 8, Lebanon TN 37088). Miss Tomlinson was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She was a career waitress for over 20 years when she and husband Kenneth established and operated Phyllis" Sunrise Diner, presently known as Sunrise Diner at 333 East High St. in Lebanon, from 2002 until 2006. Survivors include husband and best friend for over 21 years, Kenneth Tomlinson; son: Timothy Steven (Laura) Smith; granddaughter: Taryn Jordan Smith: brother: Edward (Barbara) Coffee; sisters: Linda (Johnny) Ballinger and Brenda (Ted) Ferguson Malone; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Harlin and Angeline Mea Coffee, brothers Johnny and Jonah Coffee, sisters Stella Roberts and Helen Ann Coffee.
