Obituary of Earl Thomas Lackey

Earl "Monk" Lackey passed away on November 20, 2009 at age 88. He was a US Army WWII veteran and a mechanic at Lebanon Woolen Mills. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 and from 1 p.m. until service on Sunday. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Todd Lackey, is 2 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009. Memorials in his name are requested to the Hillcrest Baptist Building Fund (619 Hartsville Pike, Lebanon TN 37087, 615.444.5923). Survivors include children Bessie (Robert) Davis of Lebanon, Vivian Lackey, Gary (Abby) Lackey, William Lackey, and Robert Lackey; siblings: Jack Lackey,, Sue B. Brewington, Ona Dee Hodge, and Mary Bain; and 26 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife Emma Lackey, sons James Lackey and Allen Lackey, and parents Lee and Bessie Brown Lackey.
