Ma,
It is with much sadness that I digest the news that Pa has passed away. I called Ma last evening and she shared the bad news. My friend Debbie and I met Ma and Pa in Jamaica in 1985 and have maintained our friendships ever since. I call them Ma and Pa because when we met the moon was full in a beautiful Jamaican sky. Pa would look up at the moon, exaggerate his southern accent and proclaim, "That sure is a purty moon Ma!" Ma's reply, "It sure is Pa." I love this couple and will miss Pa dearly! Rest well, my friend.
Love, Patty

Trudie, we only just got the news about a week ago due to being busy with things related to the flood. Please know we are in pray for you and your family. We were surprised at the news. Jim seemed like he always did the last time we saw him. He will be missed.

Dear Sikes Family - I wanted you to know that I've been thinking about you and praying for your family at this time. I had such respect for Jim. He always brought so much intelligence to our chapter meetings and always had wise input. Plus on top of that a good sense of humor! I know you will miss him, and I will too. He left this world a better place. Let me know if I can help in any way. Sincerely, Tom Janney

Trudy, I am so sorry for your loss. I know you were very close to your Mom and Dad. I remember that you used to eat lunch together often and have seen you out with them several times over the years. My prayer is that you and your Mother will find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place and you will see him again. The other day I heard that Freddie had some health issues recently and my thoughts and prayers are with him as well. Charlie Simms

Aunt Clara, Trudie, Freddie and family, we will miss Uncle James dearly. We have many good memories of him that we will treasure forever. I loved his jolly little laugh! and how he always had a toothpick in his mouth. I remember many good times at Haggy's Catfish Hotel on the river - him and Pap Paw loved some good ole' southern fried catfish! Mom told me that when I got married if Terry wasn't able to give me away at the wedding that Uncle James said he would . . . that meant so much to me. God has him up in Heaven with him now and we will look forward to a great reunion one day! We love you all so much! We pray God's strength and comfort for you.
