Obituary of Ellen Paty Bobo
Ellen Bobo, age 91, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 at The Pavilion. The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Mike Ripsky, is 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Sellars Funeral Home. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the service on Wednesday. Interment in Wilson County Memorial immediately following the service. Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers: the staff at the Pavilion. Memorial Donations: Youth Group at Westland United Methodist Church (110 Dawson Lane, Lebanon TN 37087, 615.444.0776). Preceded in death by parents, Thomas Burr and Elizabeth Shannon Paty; husband, William Murphy Bobo, sisters Ruby Paty, Mrs. Sam (Ludy) Hopkins, Mrs. Dick (Ruth) Gardner, Mrs. W.G. (Blanche) Catron, Mrs. J.C. (Mary Neil) Winfree; and a brother, Joe Parker Paty. She is survived by her children, Cynthia Ann Bobo, Beverly Jean (Larry) Long, Thomas William (Michelle) Bobo, of Lebanon, and Mary Ruth (Douglas) Winford, of Cookeville; sisters-in-law, Ann Goodall Paty, of Lebanon, and Angie Bobo, of Shelbyville, and two brothers-in-law, Jack Bobo of Florence, AL, and A.C. Bobo of Auburntown, TN. Mrs. Bobo had six grandchildren; Brian (Kristin) Winford of Ashland, WI, Eric Winford of Three Rivers, CA, Andrea (Luke) Coffey of Knoxville, Joe Long of Chattanooga, Julia (Jeremy) Ash, Philip King, Ellen Grace Bobo of Lebanon, and Andrew King of Murfreesboro. She had six great-grandchildren; Elliott and Karson Ash, Jackson and Piper Coffey, and Huck and Marin Winford. Mrs. Bob graduated from Lebanon High School in 1941 and Draughons Business School in Nashville. She worked at National Life before her marriage. She then became a fulltime wife and mother. She and Her husband of 50 years lived in the Tuckers Cross Roads Community where she was active in PTA, Grange, and Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of the Methodist Church and attended Bethlehem Church of Christ.
