Obituary of Morris McCarty

Roy McCarty, age 82, passed away on October 2, 2013. He served in the U.S. Army, was employed by TVA for 28 years, farmed for 30 years, and loved fishing and rabbit hunting. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday from noon until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Gordon Lee, is 2 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013. Interment in McCarty Cemetery. Pallbearers: Sean, Chad, and Seth Barber, Arrin and Shane McCarty, and Jonathan McCarty. Survivors include wife of 61 years, Lee McCarty; children: Colleen (Reverend Gordon) Lee, Terry McCarty, and Wade McCarty; grandchildren: Sean Barber, Chad Barber, and Seth Barber, Arrin McCarty, Shane McCarty, Brandie Golden, and Katie McCarty; and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents Homer and Naomi Patton McCarty, brothers Clyde, Hugh, Glen, Fairell McCarty.
