Dear Martha, I hope you remember me. I was one of Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn's bus children at Immanuel Baptist Church. I wanted to write and let you know my heart is heavy and I grieve with you, for I know this is a painful loss. Mrs. Blackburn was a giver, never asking or needing anything in return. There are no words created that would come close to describing her inner beauty and her love and support for others. Memories of our times together reflect a strong woman with Christian values that portrayed a Godly and holy woman. Mentors like her are few in life and I will forever be grateful and consider myself blessed to have known her. I can only imagine what kind of life I might be living if it had not been for your dear Mother and Father sacrificing their time and ministering to me as a young girl and even later in life when my husband was called into the ministry. They always made it a point to attend our revival services and show their support. I know that one day we will all meet again, what a glorious day that will be. Mrs. Blackburn will be truly missed by everyone who knew her. May your precious memories bring you comfort in the days ahead. With my deepest sympathy, your friend, Lorie Winfree, Criscoe
